Maté un palomo de un zapatazo

Vi el primer episodio de Being Human. No el piloto. Me gustó bastante.

* George es un coso dork y neurótico y me encanta cómo su voz se pone toda chillona cuando se altera. Cuando está buscando dónde transformarse, aunque es 'played for laughs', no deja de sentirse su desesperación. Y cuando lo hace en la casa, deja de ser gracioso del todo. 8'D

* sha_chan tenía razón sobre Mitchell: es tan, pero tan Thomas. "I don't have days off," anyone? También está lo que dijo George: "They're predators. Every inch of them is anger and fury," a pesar de lo cual Mitchell quiere seguir intentando encajar.

* Annie es adorable. Es divertido que haya un fantasma espantando el lugar donde viven un vampiro y un hombre lobo. Hablando de coincidencias. Me gusta que siga preparando té y café aunque no pueda tomarlos sólo porque necesita una rutina.

* Sentía algo de pena por Lauren hasta que mencionó lo de matar inocentes. Fue tan 'dude, no D|', y presentó un contraste radical al respecto de la actitud de Mitchell hacia los humanos.

* Aunque la línea de 'and your little dog too' fue genial y me hizo reír cuando menos lo esperaba, lo que realmente me terminó de vender el programa fue esto:
Annie: Do you think he should've saved her?
George: I think he did.
Magnífico verlos con las prioridades correctas.
Si Mitchell la hubiera 'salvado' después de haberse planteado tanto su propia angustia existencial como la de George durante todo el episodio, la magnitud del Broken Aesop me hubiera hecho salir corriendo para no volver jamás. Por otro lado, que George reconozca que fue precisamente lo que Mitchell hizo fue la awesome cerecita del pastel.

Ya iré viendo los demás episodios poco a poco. 8D Es genial que las dos temporadas tengan pocos. ;^;

BTW, que va a haber un remake gringo para este año en SyFy. ¿Quién se sorprende? :DDDD *suenan los grillos*

My brother asked me to recommend him a manga. I told him to read Claymore. :D And I totally need to get up to date with it. :/

Also, due peer presure, I began reading The Acts of King Arthur And His Noble Knights by John Steinbeck.
One very interesting thing, is that the translation is titled Los hechos del rey Arturo y sus nobles caballeros, because the word 'act' means that something is happening or that something is being done, while 'hechos' implies that those things already happened or were already done, thus making the Spanish one sound more passive than the original in English.

There's also the fact that it seems that everything that goes bad for Arthur (practically, everything in his life, sob) comes from him having sleep with Morgawse, even though he didn't know she was his half-sister at the time. Yet, there was some malice there because they both were already married.
...And then Guinevere is the one taking the heat for her affair with Lancelot. Talking about dobule standards. (I haven't reach that part yet; the Lancelot chapter is the last one in the book, but this is how the stories go, so...)

Someone should write something where Igraine is a more active character. :////



One last thing: because I'm shameless, I bought Dragons and Dragon Lore by Ernest Ingersoll. =DDDD
