Being the head of a military-like organization that dealt exclusively with monsters where every member was a hardened warrior one way or the other, made it hard to be up to the task of leading them.

It'd be a terrifying situation for any twelve-years-old, even for Integral Hellsing, who wasn't any twelve-years-old by a long shot.

It helped she had both Walter and Alucard backing up her authority, but what she wanted the most was to be able to stand up for herself against everyone else, even her servants.

Her father had raised her well, teaching her everything about vampire lore and leadership, but he had also hoped to be there for here a few years more, allowing her to be as normal as possible for as long as possible. He had loved his daughter; he hadn't wanted to leave her all alone in a world as bleak as Hellsing's so soon. It had been so terrible life dictated otherwise.

Thus, a far too young Integral had to assume a responsibility far too heavy, but it was a responsibility that had to be taken, and no one else could have done it because Alucard would obey no one else.

Integral had been brave from the very beginning. She'd said the precise words right before she'd pulled the trigger.

And, after all that, she had remained sane.

At that very moment, Alucard decided he was up to the challenge of an iron-willed master, that was why he kept unnerving her, to help her get rid of all the stress that piled up inside of her all the time. A master with a broken will he could manipulate easily would've been fun but, as it was, it was even better.

Besides, the unnerving bit was fun as well; he just loved seeing her flustered, trying to refrain a pout as she enforced her commands, which he ultimately obeyed but not before he had his laugh.

In conclusion, Integral was such a lovely girl, and he was such a nostalgic old monster.
