“Lions,” Yuuri said, out of the blue.
“What about them?” Murata asked.
“They represent royalty. It'd be neat to have one in my coat of arms.”
“Lions are the default for the coat of arms of the European kings of this world, Shibuya, but in Shin Makoku—”
“Yeah, I know, there are no lions in Shin Makoku.”
“Besides that, the royal coat of arms in Shin Makoku is—”
Yuuri winced. “I know what the coat of arms is, that's why I'm asking for lions,” he moaned, burying his head in his arms.
Murata stiffened a snicker. “Fine, fine. I understand you.”
“You do?”
“Yup. And, you know what? I think we could manage to change it if we make them realize how noble the lions are.”
Yuuri raised his head. “How do we do that?”
Murata grinned. “It's simple, really. All we need is to bring Günther to your house, a television set, a DVD player, and a copy of the Lion King.”

What surprised Megumi wasn't that Sanosuke appeared suddenly at the clinic—given his particular way of life—but the reason that had gotten him there that time. For once, he hadn't been involved in a fight, so he didn't have any wounds nor was he bleeding, which made Megumi really glad.
She hated when he showed up all covered in blood, and she had done all but beg him to stop asking whole bands of gangsters to fight him at once.
To that, he'd just answer, his smile ruined by the swollen mouth, that he wasn't going to let himself rust. “And they're barely worthy opponents. This you see it's because I allow them to think they're winning. I'm nice like that.” Then she'd open her mouth to reply but he'd interrupt, “Be careful, Miss Fox, or someone would think you care about me.”
At that point, Megumi would sigh and mend him only to hit him on the head as soon she were done.
Or the other way around, it'd depend on her prognosis.
But, now, here he was, collapsed at her feet, obviously in pain, raising his arms asking for relief, but Megumi couldn't help herself and said, her voice showing her amusement, “So, you finally found food rotten enough to give you a true stomach-ache!”

Judging by her face, Cogsworth was sure there were no words to describe the surprise Miss Belle felt when she found out that the master hadn't read a single book of the ones in the library he gave her.
“How can anyone spend so much time surrounded by books and not even open them?” she asked.
Lumière shrugged. “Well, if the master had gone near those books before you arrived, mademoiselle, there would be no books by now.”
Even Cogsworth had to concede the candlestick had nailed a point.
“But the situation is going to change now,” Miss Belle said, firmly.
She didn't explain why that particular situation had to change, so all of the castle's servants did all they could to remain near her, specially when she dragged their master to a table that had a couple of books on it. She grabbed one of the books and presented its first page to him. A little confused, he took it, his big hand brushing her smaller one.
Later, Cogsworth would always remembered that scene as “How It All Truly Began”.
