I can't believe I just saw someone complaining about the Percy Jackson books being eurocentric. I know the first one is still on my desk waiting for me to open it, but... Rly, what.
Has this people ever heard of this little country called Greece? The one that is in Europe? Where the mythology those books are based upon is from? No? Well, it's ok. It's not like it had ever had any influence in the Western World as we know it.
For once, it's completely understandable for a story to be eurocentric and... then this.
People, know your battles!
And your myths!
And your geography! orz

Y para leer sobre el hijo de un dios no-eurocéntrico, para eso está Anansi Boys, maybe? Pero no busques cosas globales en libros de mitología griega/romana/nórdica.
