Repo Men take II
Aug. 6th, 2010 09:14 pmI've kept thinking about the movie because there was something there that I couldn't put my finger on. And then I just realized: the main character in Repo Men like the main human character in District 9. Granted, one is more competent than the other, but it's the same thing: neither of them would see the other side of the argument until they start being affected by it. Also, they both act against the very group they eventually become a part of.
Curiously enough, I feel far more sympathetic towards Wikus than to Remy, mainly because Repo Men isn't that good at being a satire.
