I was wondering about what the deal was with the 5th of May in the US, since it is a holiday here, but it isn't that big. (The hijacked-by-beer-company explanation in the comments makes so much sense. >>;)
Anyway, every time the Battle of Puebla is mentioned or referenced, I remember the Xanto novel is out of print and pretty much impossible to find and I just want to go and curl up in my corner of emo. D: Supposedly, this novel is a retelling from that battle in modern times, but this time around is about Puebla vs aliens from outer space with a luchador as the human leader.
I've been wanting to read it since I knew it existed.
I will keep looking! Someday, I will find someone who owns a copy I can borrow!
...but that day isn't today. *sobs*
